From the President
Dear families, friends, and members of University Lutheran,

Greetings to all of you on this cold winter day.

The news from Pastor Dohrman is still the same.  He is in Tampa, and welcomes your phone calls at 850-443-7588.  Sometimes he is unable to answer, as he may be undergoing tests or such.

At our last council meeting, it was decided that we would start a brief, informal Bible Study & Group Prayer at 10:30 Sunday mornings prior to the service.  Please come.  Ann Marie Karl will be the leader on the 18th, and she is a wonderful leader.

Please mark your calendars, as Ash Wednesday is on the 21st. Our service will be at 7 p.m., with a light supper beforehand at 6:30.

Please continue to keep Pastor, Deb Buenrostro's family and  Wayne and Paula Smith in your prayers.

If you are in town on Sunday morning, please join us for worship at 11.  We always love to see all of you.

God's blessings,
Elsa McKinney

Pastor Dohrman to retire
As you may know, Pastor Dohrman will retire in July of this year.  In our search for a new pastor, we ask for your help.  We have a form for self-evaluation of our congregation and a form where you submit the name of a pastor that you may personally know, or have heard about to the list of possible pastors to be considered.  These forms are attached to his E-Newsletter and are available at ULC.  Please help us in our search by completing the self-evaluation form and if you know of a pastor, fill out the other form as well.  The deadline for this February 25, 2007.

As a means of keeping you informed of the call process and to request your continued prayers, the Internet address, www.UniversityLutheranChurch.net/call will offer you the minutes of meetings and various documents used in the process. Copies are also available at University Lutheran, by mail or by emailing the Committee Chair or calling 878-4071.

All comments, questions, concerns and desires should be shared with the Call Committee Chair, Bob Wagner (g8rdad@aol.com) or the Congregational President Elsa McKinney (Meremck@alumni.indiana.edu).

It's snowing...
Hello Floridian friends.

I just wanted to show you all what winter is REALLY like. We got a real snowstorm yesterday...it snowed for about 24 hours, and much of the day yesterday was pretty blizzard-like outside.

But today, the sun came out, and the fun began! After digging out our cars, Eric got to work making a very cool snow cave. We were having such a good time that we almost forgot it was only 15 degrees!

Miss you all,
Jessica Harbeson

Quality Student Housing Opportunity
University Lutheran Church and Student Center offers semi-private campus living for up to four students each semester. We offer very reasonable semester rates, high speed cable, cable TV, access to piano and organ, and plenty of quiet study space. We do not offer any of the usual distractions like a swimming pool, weight room, sauna, basketball court, tennis court, PETS, or wild parties.  If you are a serious student and don't want to "break the bank" with dorm expenses, please email the ULC President for additional information. NOTE: This is not a co-ed facility and occupancy may be dependent upon gender.

University Lutheran Church and Student Center,
