From the President

Dear friends, members, and families of University Lutheran,

It is great to have the students back in our midst after their Spring Break.

I am also happy to tell you that Pastor Dohrman called today, and he said "Please write in your message that pastor has a plea that he would like all and any of you to come visit him, take him for a walk, drive him home this week-end and sit in the back yard of his home with him".   Meredith and I will take him to his home for lunch on Saturday.

Council members, please note that we have a meeting on Sunday after the service.  It would be great if all of you would come, as we have important issues to decide.

We continue to keep our members and their families in our prayers, Mary Liz Moody, Cheryl Dance, Deb Buenrostro, the Culps.  Please forgive me, if I have left anyone out.  Also the Rev. Dr. Gerhard Michael, the president of the Florida-Georgia District is in need of our prayers for health reasons.

Enjoy this wonderful spring weather, and if you are in town this Sunday, we would love to see you at 11 a.m. for worship.

God's blessings,
Elsa McKinney

A Look at the Lessons

This is an informal group of lively, heartfelt, meaningful, practical application, open sharing and exchanges on specific Bible passages featured for that Sunday's sermon, found in the church bulletin's "Celebrate" section. It is enriching and enhances the Sunday's service for all.

All are welcome each Sunday morning at 10:15 in front of the fireplace.UUU

Life Beyond FSU

I just wanted to let everyone know that Katherine Banales married White Picket FenceAndrew Lisa on March 10, 2007.  The wedding was in Bakersfield, California and it was beautiful.  Also, some other ULC alums were bridesmaids:  Jennifer Barger, Nicole Anagnostis, and Beth Hahn (Argeroudis).

Quality Student Housing Opportunity
University Lutheran Church and Student Center offers semi-private campus living for up to four students each semester. We offer very reasonable semester rates, high speed cable, cable TV, access to piano and organ, and plenty of quiet study space. We do not offer any of the usual distractions like a swimming pool, weight room, sauna, basketball court, tennis court, PETS, or wild parties.  If you are a serious student and don't want to "break the bank" with dorm expenses, please email the ULC President for additional information. NOTE: This is not a co-ed facility and occupancy may be dependent upon gender.
