A request from Florida Impact

My name is Sara Guiffre and I work for Florida Impact. Florida Impact is a non-profit organization that works again Hunger and Poverty in the state of Florida through Outreach, Legislation and Policy. The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod supports us fiscally each year, as well as the Florida-Georgia District. We received a Domestic Grant from LCMS World Relief; and as part of that grant, we have agreed to connect with local Lutheran Churches and groups to spread awareness of Hungry and Poverty in the state of Florida and connect Lutherans with our work.

I am writing to see if you have any students in your congregation that would volunteer with Florida Impact over the summer. We are looking for students to make telephone calls to help update our database and answer phone calls regarding Summer Food Sites.

If this urgently needed volunteer position is one you would like to fill, please let me know.

Thanks,
Sara Guiffre (email)
