From the President I trust that all of you are ready for summer, as now we have temperatures in the 90's, but I do not have to tell you this, you experience it firsthand. Shannon Grosskreutz underwent surgery today for the removal of a mass in her chest. Thankfully Pastor Dohrman along with David Ferguson were there to offer support and prayer for her, post surgery. I am not sure if you remember Ruth and Ron Martin from Epiphany, but Ruth is Dr Boda's sister and her husband Ron died recentlly. We keep Ruth and her family in our prayers, as she mourns Ron's death. We have some dates to remember: July 18, we will have a clean-up, set-up get together for the July 22d Ordination Service. Time to be announced. July 22d at 4 p.m.-- The Rite of Ordination and Installation Service for our new pastor, Jay Allen Winters. Please plan to attend. My grandfather, 5 uncles, and a brother in law are or have been Missouri Synod pastors and yet, I have not been to an Ordination Service before. I have seen the rough draft of the service folder and it is a very moving service, albeit a little bit longer than a regular Sunday service. I believe that this is a gift that Pastor Jay gives to University Lutheran to be ordained here and that we can be there with him, as he is ordained and consecrated to the office of the holy ministry in the one, holy, Christian and apostolic Church. We will host a reception after the service, so please plan to stay, and if possible, please bring something good to share, or if not, just stay. We would love to have you with us at this most special occasion. On August 4th, we celebrate Pastor Dohrman Retirement Party with a tailgate party at 5 p.m. Please join us. We would all love to have you with us, as we celebrate Pastor Dohrman's ministry. This coming Sunday, if you are in town, please join us for worship at 11 a.m. We always like to see all of you.
